Marijuana

The use of Marijuanna in America has always been on hot topic , as many belive that the drug has little to no adverse effect and no one is yet to die due to the drug , while those on the left firmily believe that this drug is a gateway to stronger , more addictive drugs such as heorine , cociane etc.  Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States. Its use is widespread among young people. According to  survey of middle and high school students, rates of marijuana use have greatly increased in  past few years after several years of increase. Neverthe less the number of young people who believe marijuana use is risky has also reduced . Image result for weed

Those is support of the legalization of weed have strongly proclaimed that the drug is not harmful but instead acts as a great medicine to soothe pain etc . Legalization of marijuana for medical use or adult recreational use is growing in a number of states and with the recent legalization on Marijuana in California for those who are legally adults , people seems to be warming up the idea that weed could infact not be as bad as it once was thought to be .

Technology and Artifical Intelligence

Many in America believe that  we as a race have not yet reached the level of technological advancements needed to sucessfully actualize the creation of artificial inteligence machines will eventually possess the ability to perform a thought or human like operation

Americans depencence on technology has prominently increase in the 2000's with the constant imporovents on mobile devices such as smartphones , smart watches , computers etc and with big tech companys such as Apple Samsung etc consantly competing for the top spots it is easy to see why Americans are very dependent on these devices .But people must take a step back as being to dependent or adicted to these devies has adverse effects as it might cause accidents etcImage result for technology

Although some technological advancements such as C.A.T scan etc have made life easier to much a anything is still  bad

Women in America

The depiction of women in the media through out the United States of Americas history has always been incorrect . From being potrayed as fragile weak women who were expected to have no say on important matters such as on politics and economical issues in the 50's to them being overly sexualized in music videos etcs in the late 90's to present day , women have always received the short end of the stick when it comes to an actual and realistic protrayal of them in the media .

The portrayal of women  have definitely evolved  since the 50's however they have not changed for the better as  it slowly mortified into the objectification of women by the media as seen today

immigration

Immigration and the number of immigrants in the United states of America have always been on the minds of American citzens right from the progressive era till present . Many seem to forget  that it was the cheap labour of immigrants and minorites that help kickstart the industrial revoulation in United States of America .  It was a time when the nation was shifting from its dependence on the agrarian society , which consisted of small scale productions   to a more urban society dominated by industrial corporations who could produce twice  the amount produced by agrarian society in half the time . This shift  was otherwise  know as the industrial revolution  of the United States and it was made possible by about 5 million  immigrants who had come to the United states of America in search for a better life .They flooded urban areas in search of livelihood , most times taking underpaying jobs in factories or wherever they could . Since this was the period of development in  the west , big businesses and corporations took advantage of the influx of immigrants and began to hire them to  help the United States of America actualize her visions of industrial revolution . They  had ample numbers  of immigrant who were  both able and more so willing to work  , this in turn created a supply of workers much more than the demand for them , thereby reducing the price of labour drastically .The effects of having such cheap labour on the economy in the United States Americas was unprecedented ,  as the United States seemed to be eating its cake and also having it , because not only were these immigrants  transforming the Nation's economy by  working in factories that aided the industrial revolution

Today peoples views on immigration have yet to shift as the likes of Donald Trump and Ann coulter have instigated the fear that these immigrants are taking away jobs rightful meant for American citizens . Immigration and issues surrounding immigrants helped in one way or the other either prompt social change or reshape the social dynamic in American but till this present day , a negative stigma is attached to these group in America

racism in america

Racism is embedded in the roots of the United States of America , it has been a predominate theme through out Americas history and contiues to play a vitual role in present time . The classic american dream which falsely portrays America as a land of dreams where ones background , race , national origin etc play no roles in determining the outcome of ones life or place in society an , absurd notion that people can just  pick themselves upon by their boot strings and achieve whatever in regardless of race  gender sexual orientation etc  . Another , being that people  have equal opportunity , everyone has a shot at reaching his or her true potential .

But the truth is that there exists a class nature of society in America . One that is decades old , where ones race dictated there placement in the society iregardless of your education potential and how hard you work as opportuities are with held from you

Common myths about the United States of America , myths which i myself once believed  , such as that the united states of America is a middle class nation , the United States of America is a classless society , citizens of the United States are all getting richer Imply that everyone has equal opportunity to succeed but the recent media attention on the extent of police brutality largely due to social media has open old wounds as this has been going on for years but the advancement of camera phones have only just propelled this problem to the front pages
